Drea Thomas
Founder & President
Drea has had a long career in software development and
startup ventures. He co-founded and served as Vice President
of Engineering at MyAble, a web and wireless portal company
that was acquired by Openwave Systems. At Openwave, he
served as Director of Engineering responsible for developing
portal applications for wireless carriers.
His first startup was Millennia Software, which developed a
novel phone user interface for PC's involving speech recognition,
text to speech, and messenging. At Millennia, he was employee
#1 and software architect.
He is currently on leave from his PhD in Atmospheric Physics
at the Massachussets Institute of Technology. In addition, Drea
has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Cal Poly and
has held scientific and software positions at a wide range
of institutions such as IBM, NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and
The MathWorks.
